Name: Eric Pépin

mailfrom: epepin@ubisoft.qc.ca

Favorite GS Tournament: I prefer the French Open, Roland-Garos as we should say.

The champs of this event are really in good shape because the exchanges are long. We have time to appreciate our favorites players.

Least favorite GS tournament: For myself, i would say Wimbledon. It's just because

i can't appreciate this kind of exchange: to serve and go to the net.

Best announcer: I don't really have any preferance

worst announcer: none

Name: chris caswell

mailfrom: pimpd6140@.com

Favorite GS Tournament: wimbeldon because it is played in the U.S.

Least favorite GS tournament: French open because it is on clay and I hate clay personally.

Best announcer: John Mcenroe because he is funny and says a lot of good strategies, etc.

Worst announcer: don`t have one

Name: Nathan Mitchell

mailfrom: homewood@gtii.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon is my favorite grand slam tournament, because it is, in my eyes, the most prestigious.

Least favorite GS tournament: My least favorite grand slam tournament would be the French Open, because of the fact that it is a clay court tournament.

Best announcer: My favorite tennis announcer is John McEnroe, because he says whats on his mind.

Worst announcer: I don't have a least favorite tennis announcer.

Name: Steven Cist

mailfrom: baseballhero@msn.com

Favorite GS Tournament: U.S. Open because it is played

on a hard court surface, which

gives both baseliners and serve and volleyers equal chances especially among the men.

Least favorite GS tournament: Australian Open because it is not televised in the U.S. from

down under.

Best announcer: Tracey Austin because I like her and she does a good job at the U.S. Open.

Worst announcer: John McEnroe because he is too

critical of the players when they make mistakes.

Name: Janet Stewart

mailfrom: jstewart@javanet.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon is my favorite Grand Slam tournament. It has gobs of history, and I like the grass courts. That is the one surface I have never played on. Anyway, there is so much history and tradition surrounding this tournament, and you always know it's going to be great tennis througout.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French Open. Too many baseliners.

Best announcer: MARY CARILLO IS AWESOME!!! She knows the game, the players, and she has an understated commentary that doesn't overshadow the match she is covering at the time.

Worst announcer: John Newcombe - too dry.

Name: Rickhtof

mailfrom: Rickhtofen.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon (minus the yanks)

Least favorite GS tournament: US Open. Yanks stink!

Best announcer: Anyone Australian.

worst announcer: John McEnroe. Extremely biased , partisan & rude. Followed by Michael stich-- big complainer.

Name: John Skilbeck

mailfrom: JSkil42897@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon because it's the originaland the best - played on the surface tennis was designed to be played on.

Least favorite GS tournament: US Open - always seems lifeless as the stands are always empty.

Best announcer: McEnroe because he has the authority to criticize.

Worst announcer: Pam Shriver because she is ugly and talks like a man

Name: Michelle Kelman

mailfrom: Michelle_Kelman@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: My favorite Grand Slam tournament is the U.S. open.

The excitement of the crowd. The crisp look of the courts. Pure energy.

Least favorite GS tournament:

Best announcer: Mary Carillo. She is honest and to the point and not bold and rude. Not like Macenro.

She has a good voice.

Worst announcer: John Macenro. Annoying

Name: Hugh Logan-Smith

mailfrom: deanpark@idirect.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbeldon of course. Glad to see most others agree.Has everything - tradition; class; style;etiquette and of course grass and weather which when added up makes the best of the best reach his/her zenith.

Least favorite GS tournament: I love tennis and watch as many Grand Slams as time zones permit. I agree with most others and have to say the French Open is not to my taste -- the red clay is awful and you just have to guess where the ball is going because you certainly can't see it!

Best announcer: Again I agree with most others. John McEnroe for sure. Witty, intelligent and never lost for words and the right words too.

worst announcer: Mary Carrilo- ugh!

Name: Michael J. Behrens

mailfrom: lnusgmac.mbehre01@eds.com

Favorite GS Tournament: French, I love the clay and you must be physically and mentally fit to win.

Least favorite GS tournament: Austrialian Open, I have a hard time spelling the name of the country, plus it doesn't come in as clear and personable as the other grand-slams.

Best announcer: Mary Carillo, Chris Evert. Mary knows everything and is very friendly. Chris still loves the game and is well respected among people in general. John McEnroe is also excellent because he brings attitude.

Worst announcer: Tracy Austin. To much talk about every stroke a pro makes.

Name: Claudette

mailfrom: CGriff@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbeldon.....because I saw henri leconte for the first time 10 years ago.he lost in the 4 th round to Tim Mayotte but I was hooked.

Least favorite GS tournament: US open because Henri didnt play there because it was hard court

Best announcer:

Worst announcer: SIMON REED......because he is an opinionated little no man...lol

Name: Simon

mailfrom: Wallish

Favorite GS Tournament: The Australian Open because it is more relaxed than the

other Grand Slams and the crowds are really vocal and musical.

Least favorite GS tournament: The US Open because the surface is the same as the Australian Opens, and because of the oversized stadium

Best announcer: John McEnroe cause he is a dude

worst announcer: Pat Cash too relaxed

Name: Casey

mailfrom: Tronicaguy@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Australian because its not all advertised and in your face

Least favorite GS tournament: French Open because seeing the orange for a few hours straight makes me dizzy

Best announcer: They are all kind of lame but i would have to go with Tracy Austin and her tennis tips

Worst announcer: Probably John McEnroe. What a jerk!

Name: Siram Sampath

mailfrom: sriram@u.arizona.edu

Favorite GS Tournament: Always Wimbledon ! Just because of the tradition that has to go with it - the flush green courts, the sparkling white dress, the rains that come from nowhere - they are just GREAT !!!

Least favorite GS tournament: French Open - one reason is that we dont have good all court players - some Spaniard comes and wins it - then he drops out of Wimbledon and takes rest - I dont think Slams should be won by such persons ! Hope some great who wins French and Wimbledon back to back ( like Borg did ) arrive some day !

Best announcer: John McEnroe of course - he continues from where he left on court !!

Name: Elena Pereira

mailfrom: Happy018@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: I'd have to say Wimbledon. It has so much history and so much passion behind it. Anything goes on grass and it's the best show in town when it comes around. You never know who's gonna pull out on top or on bottom.

Least favorite GS tournament: Australian Open. No fire. It's way to close to the holidays and not only do some major players skip it but some lower ranked players too. It also has very little television time so you can't really get involved with it.

Best announcer: Oh tough one. I'd say John McEnroe for men and Mary Carillo for women. John can really pull some stuff out of his hat and Mary knows her stuff. I like to hear comparisons of past players and they provide that. Not everyone does.

Worst announcer: Couldn't really tell ya. They all sound like they know what their doin to me but hey I could be wrong. :)

Name: Annie Hou

mailfrom: tennischic_11@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Personally, I think that Wimbeldon

is the best tournament. I like to see

how well players can play on

grass courts. Also Sampras always

does really well at Wibeldon!

Least favorite GS tournament: I don't really like the French Open.

I don't really have a good reason but, I just don't like too much.

Best announcer: I really like John Macenroe, he calls it's like it is.

Worst announcer: I don't really have a least favourite announcer,

I think they all do a great job.

Name: Christian Laurin

mailfrom: christian.laurin@tr.cgocable.ca

Favorite GS Tournament: Rolland Garros because men & women have to use a lot of strategy and they have to be complete athletes.

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimbledon because of the speed of the surface and because, specially for the men, 50% of the first serves don't come back in play. We are far away from McEnroe-Borg finals. That was exciting tennis, and intelligent playing. Too bad it's history now. I hope we'll see that somehow in the future.

Best announcer: McEnroe because of the intelligence of the guy and the way he analyses then matches.

Worst announcer: Helene Pelletier (RDS, Canada), because she has nothing to say. When you have the same tennis on TV in french and english, English is the first choice because it's much more exciting.

Name: Ana

mailfrom: analily09@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: I like Wimbledon the best. The tournament seems to show the players under pressure more, which is interesting to watch. Also, this is the tournament most people associate with as the top achievement in tennis.

Least favorite GS tournament: The Australian Open. Simply because it gets so little coverage, that I hardly know when it's on, so I always miss it.

Best announcer: JOHN McENROE!!! His style is absolutely adorable! I love it. He looks so cute with his hair cut too. But not only that, his incredible knowledge of the game of tennis is intersting to listen to. He's great.

Worst announcer: Chirs Evert. She seems too professional, like she's kind of distant from the viewer.

Name: david clark

mailfrom: markdavidclark@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: U.S. Open. Patriotism rules on this one!

Least favorite GS tournament: Australian. Never see enough about it.

Best announcer: John McEnroe. His the color man of tennis.

Worst announcer: Bud Collins. What's with the clashing clothes and stupid questions?

Name: Rodger Webb

mailfrom: RKW8774655

Favorite GS Tournament: the us.open all styles of play can win this event if hungry enough. unlike the french or wimbledon where baseline or net play is more important.

Least favorite GS tournament: french

BORING

Best announcer: patrick mcenroe, well prepared chris evert, will go out on a limb.

Worst announcer: bud collins sometimes i wish he would just shut up!!

pam shriver i like pam very much but she seems to only pull for americans.

Name: matt

mailfrom: fiverealpaynes@teloaust.com.au

Favorite GS Tournament: australian open - because the venue is great and the people are great

Least favorite GS tournament: french open - on clay, the most boring surface to watch

Best announcer: john mcenroe, he's funny and has experience about the game

worst announcer: wendy turnball - she's sssoooo boring

Name: Amy Fleming

mailfrom: flemingwow@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: French Open. Because I won't ever have to watch while Pete Sampras wins it!

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimbledon, because the calls are bad, Pete always wins it, and this year I had to watch while he whined, got a recall in the second set tie break, and my favorite guy, Goran lost because of it.

Best announcer: John McEnroe, of course! Because he's funny, sarcastic, and really knows his tennis stuff.

worst announcer: Pam Shriver, hate her voice, her opinions, and can't stand the way she is always praising Venus Williams, even when she has proved to be a bad sport, and obnoxious on and off the court.

Name: Laura Anne

mailfrom: analily09@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: I truly enjoy them all, but I must say that as far as tennis goes, Wimbledon is my favorite. The players take this one pretty seriously, so it's interesting to see how their games change, for better or worse, under pressure.

Least favorite GS tournament: The Australian really doesn't get much coverage, so I don't know that much about it. Therefore, as of now, it is my least favorite.

Best announcer: Got to be John McEnroe! I love his style! Seriously, he gives interesting commentary, not the usual blah.. blah.. blah.. Also, he looks so cute now! I love it! His whole personality is absolutely adorable to me, as well as his great knowledge of the game of tennis.

worst announcer: Although I don't hate her at all, Chris Evert seems to be rather condesending in her commentary, which I don't like.

Name: Jana

mailfrom: DaHool02@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Grand Slam-Cup Munich because, its in my Country, and all the bests in Tennis are playing here in Autumn.

Least favorite GS tournament: I have no.

Best announcer: i would say for Germany its 1. Eurosport, they try to bring all the "biggest" tournaments. 2. DSF 3. ARD/ZDF

Name: Peder Enelstad

mailfrom: fritz_97@yahoo.com

Favorite GS Tournament: The U.S. OPen because of the fans!

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimbledon-small crowds and

always dreary conditions

Best announcer: John McEnroe- He know s the game better than anyone else because he played the game

worst announcer: Bill Macatee-he thinks he knows all about tennis, but he doesn't know squat

Name: Amanda B.

mailfrom: DMBeatNirv@aol.comFavorite GS Tournament: US Open because it's right near home and there is more coverage of it than the other Grand Slams. In termes of tennis, I like Wimbledon because it's more prestigious and I like watching grass court tennis.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French Open because I don't like clay and there's hardly any coverage.

Best announcer: Billie Jean King because she's got a nice voice and knows what she's talking about.

Worst announcer: Some guy who does coverage for HBO, he has no clue what he's talking about and is always interupting the other announcers

Name: Jon Mason

mailfrom: jon0@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon, cause it is in jolly ol' England

Least favorite GS tournament: US Open, Because It is in the United States

Best announcer: John McEnroe, because he throws fits when he plays and he is crazy

Worst announcer: I don't really have one.

Name: Alexa

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon, I like it because its so prestegious and different.you really have to relate to grass in order to do well and its tough.

Least favorite GS tournament: the french open because its not to exciting.

Best announcer: Jim Lampley and Mary Carillo because they are funny,

Worst announcer: billie jean king

Name: Joe

mailfrom: joey@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: U.S. Open - U.S. TV coverage is great, the surface can accomodate all playing styles. The matches are usually intense.

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimbledon - the rallies are too short. Watching a bunch of aces is boring.

Best announcer: Cliff Drysdale - he is a pure "tennis" analyst. His makes a point to explain tactics, and breaks down key strokes in slow motion, explaining the mechanis.

Worst announcer: Bud Collins - he is a clown.

Name: Greg Beyer

mailfrom: beyrz4@hotmail.com

Favorite GS Tournament: U.S. Open. Close to my home (CT), all on TV, always great matches!

Least favorite GS tournament: French. All European clay masters! Not enought TV, but can't see the damn ball anyway.

Best announcer: Bud Collins!

Worst announcer: Tie. Carillo, McEnroe, Enberg. Blowhards who are cultivating their own popularity at the expense of viewers. Worst is Enberg. HE KNOWS NOTHING!!!!!

Name: Steven Schaefer

mailfrom: cpstrjs@flash.net

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon, because of the grass surface. The surface alows a variety of players with different games to a chance to upset big players. Big players such as Sampras have a harder time winning becasue one moment the ground can be hard and the next soggy.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French because i don't like the slow pace of the surface.

Best announcer: Bud Collins because he isn't afraid to make a fool of himself

Worst announcer: John Macenroe because i don't like his style of announcing.

Name: Erik sunstrom

Maifrom: erki.fer@web03-1.farm.primehost.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Paris i think tournemenets like wimbledon i boring because its only serve volley i think paris is the best cause i like to watch baseline play

Best announcer: john macenroe i watch him on eurosport he is great

Worst announcer: A swed named Bjorn hedman hes realy awful

Name: Norman Tam

mailfrom: Heiditam5@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: My Favorite Grand Slam tournament is probably the US Open. I don't really know why but I think that it is closer to home than the other Grand Slam tournaments.

Least favorite GS tournament: My least favorite Grand Slam tournament is probably the French Open because when you watch it on TV, you can't really see the ball that well because the ball like blends in with the court.

Name: Albert Garmash

mailfrom: root@k2092.mnts.msk.su

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon. Winning Grand Slam tournament is the dream of all tennis players. But to win at Wimbledon,I think is something special. Everything what I like in tennis is in Wimbledon tournament inside.

Least favorite GS tournament: I like all Grand Slam tournaments

Best announcer: Anna Dmitrieva

Worst announcer: We haven't many tennis (tv) announcers in Russia,so I don't know how to answer for this question

Name: Amy Howard

mailfrom: dpamy@coachmen.com

Favorite GS Tournament: The U.S. Open, of course. English speaking line judge. In America.

Best announcer: John McEnroe is hilarious! His comments are always colorful and appreciated.

Name: Lindsay Rodriguez

Favorite GS Tournament: My favorite GS is the N.Y.Open. It's bring out the "sweat" of the players. And, I like to see them work for the big bucks,$$$$.

Least favorite GS tournament: My least favorite GS is the Aussie. Because it is the first and the players never seems to be "in" the game.

Best announcer: J.McEnroe is my favorite because he tell it like it is. For better or worse.

Worst announcer: All the "old" ones, they always go back

200yrs or so. And, who wants to hear old stories.

Name: Mike Thill

mailfrom: midkanad@ellinwood.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon

The Tradition.

Least favorite GS tournament: French Open

Lack of Excitement.

ANNOYING - Does the guy even know how to play?

Least favorite GS tournament: FRENCH OPEN 'cause it has no class at all

Best announcer: BRIAN LANGLEY 'cause he nows what he is saying

Worst announcer: none

Name: Lara Luck

mailfrom: lcluck@luckonline.net

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon I would have to say because it is steep in tradition. Someday I would like to see for myself :)

Least favorite GS tournament: Hmmmm....I guess the French Open, though I think all the Slams are good. I personally don't like to play on clay. And that red gets all over everything and is impossible to get out

Best announcer: Fred Stolle. He's always has a witty comment

Worst announcer: Hmmmm....I don't remember there names but they did they are on ESPN and covered Monte Carlo and the German Open. They are soooooooo boring

Name: Sugar Sandu

mailfrom: 950149@balut.admu.edu.ph

Favorite GS Tournament: I really Like the Australian Open the best because the site is quite fabulous - Melbourne park. I like the US open next because according to one tennis movie I've seen, it is "where the babes whisper your name".

Least favorite GS tournament: Not that I despise Wimbledon but I don't really enjoy tennis matches as much on grass. I like long, enduring rallies which are more prevalent on clay or hard.

Best announcer: Cliff Drysdale. He thinks Carlos Moya is such a phenomenal player and I couldn't agree more!

Worst announcer: Zina Garrison - for obvious reasons.

Name: Cindy Van Aken

mailfrom: vanakena@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon is my favorite Grand Slam. I love the tradition and the upsets every year. Of course, the weather makes every year different.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French Open is my least favorite. As an American, clay is just not that familiar.

Best announcer: Luke Jensen is my favorite. I like his whispered comments from courtside.

Worst announcer: I don't really have a least favorite.

Name: Claire

Best announcer: Don't know have a favorite. I always pay attention to the tennis player, never the announcers.

Worst announcer: See above.....

Name: Larry Duong

mailfrom: PuffxDadde@yahoo.com

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon because of the elegance and respect the players show. Also, the dignity and sportmanship when they play one another. Just the whole tradition of the Grand Slam!

Least favorite GS tournament: Austallian because it is never broadcasted on television.

Best announcer: John McEnroe because he was once a great player and has moved his tennis knowledge elsewhere.

worst announcer: Bud Collins because of his dressing style.

Name: Jeff

mailfrom: jlagasca@prodigy.com

Favorite GS Tournament: The U.S. Open because you know that the players really have to work to win. You have to beat your opponent, the fans, and yourself (in a way) in order to win.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French Open because the gameplay is really slow on clay, it looks like you're playing with a wet ball that has clumos of clay all over it.

Best announcer: If it had to be one it would be Dick Enberg, he seems to know everything in sports whether it be football, golf or tennis. Plus he always knows how to sum up a series of events, such as the time when he commented on the retirement of Stefan Edberg from Wimbledon, "the sport of tennis has lost a gentleman."

Much honor & respect with those comments.

Name: Hiram J. Valtierrez Torres-Diaz

mailfrom: hirvalti@mail.utep.edu

Favorite GS Tournament: Wimbledon because it is the most traditional of all the tournaments and because playing on grass is much more difficult.

Least favorite GS tournament: I like all the grand slam tournaments for what they represent but if i have to pick the one i like the least it would be the Australian Open because it is played so early and in the cruel Australian summer. I also don't like the rebound ace surface it is played on for the injuries it can cause on the players and I dont like the TV coverage it gets, which is much less than what the other GS tournaments get.

Best announcer: I like Mary Carrillo a lot, she sounds like she knows what she's talking about not like others who honestly, stink

Worst announcer: I would have to say, Bud Collins. The thing that bothers me the most is his clothes, he should wear something more appropiate to his age. He is not a bad announcer but he should dress better.

Name: Dom Blanks

mailfrom: sblanks@iaccess.com.au

Favorite GS Tournament: Auzzie Open I'm an Auzzie

Best announcer: I don't know

Worst announcer: I don't know too

Name: Mark Cuccia

mailfrom: DUKE10s@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: the U.S. Open. It truly is the fans open. The festivities make the atmosphere less uptight from the Wimbledon type tournaments and really makes it a great sporting event.

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimbledon, it's great to watch, but way too stuffy. There's no room for players like Agassi or Korda to have fun.

Best announcer: There's a guy who does the Lipton and the Open and he's actually a real person.

Worst announcer: There was a woman, I think Mary Joe Fernandez, who did the US Open. She sounded like a machine.

Name: teresa mallin

mailfrom: t10snut@aol.com

Favorite GS Tournament: I have to say my favorite to watch is the US Open, the aussie next.. mainly because of the TV coverage. The French and Wimb. would be up there if I could see the ball once in awhile! The Open has more atmosphere which makes it more exciting to watch. they allhave there own flavor.

Least favorite GS tournament: Wimby and French, a tie as you can not see the ball at all.

Best announcer: Mary and John tie.they both call it like they see it. the edge to Mary as she doesn't shake her head as much when on screen.

Worst announcer: Hands down jim Lampley..talks heads and tails above everyone about nothing. Second, is pat Mcenroe..very stiff talker. And grunts too much when he thinks something is funny..

Name: Eric E Adams

Because it truly is the fan's Slam!!! Many players have been lifted from impending defeat by the cheering of the crowd.

Least favorite GS tournament: Australian Open.Poor T.V. coverage.

Best announcer: Mary Carillo. She's the best!! Insightful and colorful. Her comments are dead on and straight forward.

Worst announcer: Virginia Wade. She seems a bit out of touch. And her comments are dry.

Least favorite GS tournament: The French, I don't like Clay and the coverage isn't very good.

Best announcer: Mary Carillo. I think she is the consumate tennis announcer. She has a wonderful personality, is very knowledgeable, and says the things that are relavant, not fluff. She's very competent.

Worst announcer: Pat O'Brien. He never sounds confident about what he says. He doesn't know tennis well enough, and he is annoying.
