A. Casual Tennis is free for the first two months. Your account will be charged monthly starting with the third month. You may cancel 30 days after signing up or any time thereafter.  
Q. How many players make the playoffs?  Top
A. It depends on the size of the division. 10 or more players - 8 players will be eligible for the playoffs. 9 or less players - 4 players will be eligible for the playoffs.

A. The formula for points is - Games won minus games lost.  
Q. What is a Bonus point or BP?  Top
A. Every player "win or lose" receives 12 bonus points for playing a match. If a match is won by forfeit, the winning player will receive 6 bonus points, the losing player by forfeit will receive 0 bonus points.  
Q. Why is a forfeit of any kind bad for your standings?  Top
A. The system compensates actual match play and discourages forfeits, if you play and lose 0 & 0, you would still get 12 bonus points for playing, but if you don’t play and just give your opponent a default win, you would get a -12 points on your record, which will greatly affect your standing and chances at making the play-offs, and earning points to buy stuff. A. Casual Tennis is FREE for the first two months. On the thrid month, the monthly membership fee ($4.95mth) starts.

A. 1) Signup/complete your profile 2) Make yourself availlable to play 3) Search for players to play 4) Accept and or decline offers to play 5) Add players to your favorite players list 6) Build your tennis network  
Q. Is Casual Tennis Private?  Top
A. With Casual Tennis, the players email addresses are not seen and most important, not shared. You communicate by checking yes or no to offers. This eliminates all junk mail and unwanted messages.  
Q. How do I build my own tennis network?  Top
A. Casual Tennis works similar to myspace. You select and add the players you like to your favorites. With time you build your own personal network of players, to play how and when you want. Your tennis network can be as large as you want.

A. No - It's casual - it's about playing without competing. No playoffs to be made, no ladders to climb, just play tennis and enjoy your game with your favorite players.

A. Every Quarter, the active player with the most offers wiill be the winner of the quarterly prize.

A. Only if both players agree to play a tiebreaker, if they do not agree, a full third set must be played.

A. Both players, if your opponent posts it first, you then must confirm the score.

A. Standings Example for a match played. Name W L GW GL P BP TP Ted 1 0 12 8 4 12 16 Mitch 0 1 8 12 -4 12 8 Ted won his match 6-4,6-4, he won 12 games and lost 8, which gave him 4 points for the match, plus 12 points for playing, total points 16. Ol Mitch lost the match 4-6,4-6, won 8 games and lost 12 games which gave him -4 points for the match, plus 12 bonus points for playing, total points 8.  
Q. How does forfeits affect the playoffs  Top
A. Farse finishes ahead of Dash because he played "ALL" of his matches, as indicated by the 84 bonus points (BP) while Dash had 3 matches unplayed and wins by forfeit. A win on the court has more weight then a win by forfeit. Matches played or BP are the second criteria to be considered for the playoffs, after wins. Q. What is the Year to date YTD points race?  Top
A. Your total points will be calculated and carried over from season to season, for example if you earn 100 points this season and next season you earn 120 points, your total for the year will be 220, at the end of the year. The contest is across the board meaning all players and divisions, men and women in each cities are competing against each other, any player from any division has a chance at beating other players at other levels, it’s a free for all, good luck! Points are accumulated during the regular season only, play-off wins do not count toward the points race. Winner of the 1stServe points race for the year will be declared 1stServe champion for their respective city and receive a $200 gift certificate. The more you play, the more your chances of winning.  
Q. How do I get a yelow jersey.  Top
A. The eventual champion of each division will receive a yellow shirt signifying the fact that they are champions and only champions will wear the yellow jersey! This honor will be given at the banquet. Wear it Proudly like the champion that you are!

A. With Casual Tennis, you can play, singles, doubles, mixed doubles or even Australian doubles.

A. You can search the Casual tennis database in many ways, for exp. by name, age level, gender, category, location, preferred time, favorite court and keywords.

A. Casual Tennis allows you to build your own tennis network, the way you like it, with the players you want to play. Invite favorite, keep the ones you like and delete the ones you don't like.
